From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The artwork is in excellent condition with no evidence of foxing, toning, or light-related fading. The paper remains flat within the mount. The matting is clean and free of discoloration. The frame retains a well-preserved gilt finish with only minor surface wear. The backing paper is intact and the hanging hardware is secure.
