Italian pedestal desk. Cloth writing surface, 4 drawers at top, 4 drawers on each pedestal and 1 center drawer. Marquetry inlays of leaves and flowers and with Valguarnera family crest on each side. 60 1/2"L x 27 1/2"D x 41 1/4"H. Cloth writing surface fraying and torn, chips and losses to veneer throughout, splits to both pedestals, drawers do not close flush, chip above center drawer, splits to top, chips to top, sections of molding missing from top drawers, warping and peeling to veneer throughout. Provenance: Estate of Princess Maria "Mimi" Romanoff.
