Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Chicago. Set model backdrop hanger, Roxie Hart Household Turmoil, printed paper on cardboard; with a Chicago poster mounted on foam core board, and a mounted Chicago review. Model hanger 13" x 22 3/8". Model piece as is and in production used condition, and with tears to paper, paper separating from cardboard mount. Created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of Chicago, 46th Street Theatre, 1975-1977; and subsequent touring productions. Tony Walton designed the sets and the poster for the show. He was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Scenic Design in 1976 for his work on the production.
