Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). The Bright One. Group of 12 pieces original set design artwork. 4 mixed media with gouache and ink, 3 mounted, 2 initialed TW and dated ’58 lower right; 8 pencil on tracing paper rough sketches. Largest mixed media 14 1/4" x 20 5/8" including mount. All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the West End production of The Bright One, Winter Garden Theatre, 1958. These designs were never used, as Walton had to return to New York, leaving Tanya Moiseiwitsch to take over as the show’s scenic designer.
