Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Equus (film). Prop from opening scene, horse head skull on a dagger. Metal dagger with leather, yarn, metal, Styrofoam and composition skull. 27 1/2"L. Rusting, small section of skull missing from one side. Created by Tony Walton for the film Equus, United Artists, 1977. Tony Walton was the production and costume designer for the film. In 2010, he directed the regional theatre production of the show at the John Drew Theatre at Guild Hall, East Hampton, New York.
