Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). The Wiz (film). Group of 44 photo prints of various sets / scenes, including many duplicates. All printed on Kodak photo paper. With a print of an Al Hirschfeld caricature of the cast and a box of reference photos and negatives. Larger prints 19 1/2" x 24". All as is and with wear, stains and other discoloration, tears, creases and other losses. Created by Tony Walton for the film The Wiz, Universal, 1978. Tony Walton was the production designer and did the costumes for The Wiz, and was nominated for 2 Academy Awards in 1979 – Best Costume Design, and Best Art Direction – for his work on the film.
