Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Sophisticated Ladies. Original show scrim curtain artwork. Mixed media with ink, gouache and crayon on panel. Initialed TW in gold ink lower right and with typed label with info on verso. Sealed in plastic with foam board. With 2 Sophisticated Ladies window cards for the Lunt-Fontanne & Shubert theatres. Scrim 28" x 18 1/4". As is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of Sophisticated Ladies, Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 1981-1983. Sophisticated Ladies was nominated for the Tony for Best Musical in 1981.
