Alice in Wonderland (ballet). Group of preliminary research and reference materials. Notebooks with Tony Walton’s preliminary research, notes, and photos for The San Francisco Ballet’s proposed 1981 adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. With copies of The Ballet Theatre magazine from 1946-1947, 2 copies of The New York Times Magazine from December 20th 1981 featuring "Christmas with Lewis Carroll" cover, 12 books including 2 illustrated by Arthur Rackham, Sotheby’s London auction catalog for Lewis Carroll’s "Alice" from June 2001. All with some wear. Compiled by Tony Walton for a proposed adaptation of Alice in Wonderland by the San Francisco Ballet, c. 1981.
