Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Hurlyburly. 3 pieces original artwork. Preliminary poster designs, mixed media with collage, gouache, colored pencil and ink. Featuring William Hurt as Eddie. Each initialed TW lower right. All sealed in plastic with foam core board. Largest (dark blue lettering) 21 1/4" x 14 5/8" including mount. With an additional 13 William Hurt photos / prints and an envelope of original photos, 4 acetate overlays with hand painted lettering and 2 photocopied sheets of lettering. And with Joseph Bahl designed posters / lobby cards for both the Broadway and off-Broadway productions. All as is and in production used condition. Original William Hurt posters created by Tony Walton for Hurlyburly, off-Broadway, Promenade Theatre, July-August 1984 / Broadway, Ethel Barrymore Theatre, from August 1984-June 1985. Tony Walton also designed the sets for the show.
