Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Canciones de Mi Padre. 4 portfolios containing original artwork, photos, reference materials, notes and other papers. Group of 13 pieces original set design artwork, including various set elements, flooring detail, all mixed media with various mediums including gouache, ink, collage and other materials, many on black illustration board; 10 pencil on tracing paper sketches and a print on acetate; 15 sepia ink on tracing paper scene-by-scene sketches, with set of 2 sepia line prints, a set of 2 blue line prints and additional prints of the same images; 3 folders of reference materials and other papers related to the production; folder containing lighting plot sketch and prints; 300+ reference and research photos; 2 folders of notes, lists, schedules and other papers related to the production; Canciones de Mi Padre album poster mounted on board. Flooring paint detail 21" x 28 1/4" including mount. All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of Canciones de Mi Padre, Minskoff Theatre, 1988. Canciones de Mi Padre was a Broadway musical adaptation of Linda Ronstadt’s album of the same name.
