Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Major Barbara. Group of costume design artwork and set model pieces. 17 pieces original costume design sketches, various characters, pencil on tracing paper, 5 mounted, 12 unmounted, with mounts 20" x 15"; with 16 additional photocopied pages of sketches, some with handwritten notations and other additions. Small portfolio of set model pieces, various mediums including wood, cardboard and acrylic, door 5 1/4"H. All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the off-Broadway production of Major Barbara, Irish Repertory Theatre, 1997-1998. In addition designing the costumes and sets, Tony Walton also directed the show and did the design for the poster and Showbill.
