Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Seussical. 17 pieces original set design artwork, with additional copies and prints. McElligot’s Pool drop, mixed media with gouache and ink, with handwritten notations in the margins and a tracing paper overlay with additional notations, with a color print of the same image; blue ink on tracing paper fish sketch; pencil on tracing paper fish sketch, with 6 copies of the same image, some with hand additions in pencil; show curtain mixed media with gouache and ink on red card; 8 color elevations for various set elements, mixed media with gouache, colored pencil on paper; 2 show curtain designs, mixed media with gouache; 2 Who Clock sketches, mixed media with gouache; 4 additional red line and blue line prints of various set elements. McElligot’s Pool 17 3/4" x 23 1/4" including mount. All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of Seussical, Richard Rodgers Theatre, 2000-2001. Tony Walton’s work on the show was uncredited.
