The Boy Friend. Group of archive materials, 4 binders including copies of set photos, research, a copy of a script by Sandy Wilson with notes, and casting notes; a binder of copies of hand drawn costumes; a binder of copies of photos and research for the Wyndham Theatre production; a binder of production photos from Dupont theatre in 2005. With a group of programs and other ephemera from various performances, 3 hats from the Bay Street Theatre, and a pass from Orange Country performing Arts Center. All as is and with some wear. Created by Tony Walton for the regional productions of The Boy Friend, Bay Street Theatre, Sag Harbor, New York, 2003 and Goodspeed Opera House, East Haddam, Connecticut, 2005; and the subsequent touring production. Julie Andrews made her directorial debut with the 2003 production, and also directed the 2005 version. Tony Walton did the sets, having previously done the production design for the 1971 film.
