Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). A Tale of Two Cities. Large format backdrop print on vinyl, proof for finale drop. "Not enough yellow" and "Old 7-2-08" written in upper margin and on verso and "Old proof" written in the margin between images. 50" x 124 1/2". As is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of A Tale of Two Cities, Al Hirschfeld Theatre, 2008. Although Tony Walton did continue designing for off-Broadway, regional and ballet productions, A Tale of Two Cities was the last Broadway show he worked on as a designer.
