Pop Culture Time Capsule: TV Memorabilia & Vintage Toys
Lot 121:
Group of seven vintage Japanese anime-related and sci-fi action figures and toys, primarily from the Robotech and Space Battleship Yamato franchises. Includes one 12-inch Matchbox Robotech Rick Hunter action figure; one Matchbox Robotech Tactical Corps Excaliber MK VI Battloid die-cast metal figure; one Space Battleship Yamato (Star Blazers) series 1/1300 scale die-cast model by Nomura Toy; two smaller Popy/Bandai plastic ship models (Gamilas and Balcom ships); a Tomy Acrobot wind-up mechanical man; and a Bandai Mighty Riders Collection No. 4 Kamen Rider Super-1 figure. Largest 14" x 7".
Condition: The items themselves are generally well-preserved with vibrant colors and intact components. The Rick Hunter figure remains secured in its box, though the box shows shelf wear, creasing, and some softening of the cardboard. The die-cast Excaliber and Nomura Yamato models appear complete in their original Styrofoam; the Nomura box exhibits significant edge wear and some corner tearing. The Popy ship models appear complete and in good condition with original packaging. The Tomy Acrobot remains sealed in its blister pack, which shows minor age-related yellowing and card wear. The Kamen Rider figure’s plastic blister has completely detached from the backing card, though the figure and card remain present. All mechanical and wind-up features are untested.
Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Photos are considered part of the condition report. Complete condition information is available by request, please request no later than 24 hours prior to the auction. All lots are offered and sold "as is", and Willow Auctions will not provide refunds based on condition. Timepiece movements, lighting and electrics have not been tested, and art has not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated. We have our own in-house shipping program. Please request in-house shipping, if needed.
