Pop Culture Time Capsule: TV Memorabilia & Vintage Toys
Lot 122:
This lot features a pair of Matchbox Robotech Bioroid Hover Craft toy vehicles, model number 7352. Produced in 1985, these vehicles were released as part of the Robotech Masters line to complement the 3.75-inch action figure series. Each craft is constructed from red and yellow plastic and includes several interactive features such as moveable photon plasma torpedo launchers, an adjustable steering column, and variable position turbo-thrusters. The base of the craft is equipped with ball-bearings to facilitate a high-performance hover glide effect. The packaging carries the copyright of Matchbox International Ltd. and Harmony Gold U.S.A. Inc., with the country of origin identified as Macao. Both units include original internal paper ephemera, specifically the official Robotech Fan Club promotional flyers.
Condition: The original illustrated cardboard boxes show significant signs of shelf wear and age, including corner blunting, edge abrasions, surface creasing, and small tears. One box retains a vintage retail price sticker and some adhesive residue. The interior plastic vehicles appear to be in excellent, unused condition and remain secured to their internal cardboard inserts with the original wire twist ties. The items are complete with original paper inserts.
Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Photos are considered part of the condition report. Complete condition information is available by request, please request no later than 24 hours prior to the auction. All lots are offered and sold "as is", and Willow Auctions will not provide refunds based on condition. Timepiece movements, lighting and electrics have not been tested, and art has not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated. We have our own in-house shipping program. Please request in-house shipping, if needed.
