Description
A diverse collection of seven vintage 12-inch scale action figures, primarily featuring the Palitoy Action Man line alongside related military figures. The centerpiece of the lot is a Palitoy Action Man Sailor figure featuring the realistic flock hair and beard introduced in the early 1970s, accompanied by its original illustrated cardboard box. Also included is an Action Sailor figure in its original polybag packaging with a header card marked Made in Hong Kong. The loose figures comprise a Military Police (MP) officer in a brown uniform with a white helmet and green gear bag, a sailor in a navy blue dress uniform with a USN marked duffel bag, an African American figure in tan fatigues, a figure in a camouflage field jacket, and a figure in a light blue work shirt. The lot is further enhanced by an additional vintage Action Man Special Operations cardboard box. These figures are constructed of articulated plastic and vinyl with hand-stitched fabric uniforms and various plastic accessories. Action Man was the British counterpart to Hasbro’s G.I. Joe, and these examples represent the transition into the flocked hair era of the 1970s. Figures approximately 12 inches in height.
Condition: The collection is in vintage, played-with condition. Notable structural issues include one figure in a camouflage jacket with a detached head and a figure in a light blue shirt with a detached hand (hand is present). The original packaging shows significant wear, including creasing, scuffing, edge wear, and some tearing to the cardboard boxes. The polybag is crinkled with age. Uniforms show varying degrees of fraying, minor staining, and age-related discoloration. Completeness of individual accessory sets is not guaranteed.

Condition report:
The condition of the lot varies across the pieces. The orange rubberized diver suit shows significant material degradation, cracking, and crumbling typical of the age. Other figures exhibit general surface wear, minor staining to cloth uniforms, and some missing accessories or footwear; one figure is notably barefoot. The talking mechanism has not been tested and is sold as-is. The Madison Ltd. packaging shows shelf wear and card warping but remains factory sealed.
