A pair of original Generation 1 Transformers action figures featuring the iconic leaders of the Autobots and Decepticons. These figures were manufactured by Takara Co., Ltd. in Japan and distributed by Hasbro Bradley, Inc. circa 1984. The lot includes Autobot Commander Optimus Prime (Model No. 5796), consisting of a red and blue tractor-trailer constructed of plastic and die-cast metal that transforms into a robot and a combat headquarters. The second figure is Decepticon Leader Megatron (Model No. 5793), which transforms from a Walther P-38 handgun into a robot, featuring silver-chrome and black components. Both items are housed in their original grid-patterned window boxes featuring the classic 1980s battle scene artwork on the reverse. The Megatron box retains a vintage Toys "R" Us price sticker of $18.97 and a secondary $225.00 retail sticker. These items represent the foundational release of the Transformers franchise in North America. 12 inches x 15 inches.
Condition: Both items are in original packaging, though the boxes have been opened. The boxes show significant age-related wear including creasing, edge rubbing, corner blunting, and small tears. The plastic window on the Megatron box is heavily distorted and yellowed. While the primary figures are present, the completeness of internal accessories, including weapons, missiles, and paper ephemera, is undetermined. Figures show some surface dust and potential chrome wear consistent with age. Sold as-is.

The set appears substantially complete, containing the primary Metroplex figure and various essential accessories. Included are components for the companion figures Scamper, Six-Gun, and Slammer, with several smaller parts secured in clear plastic bags within the foam tray. The original cardboard box shows visible shelf wear typical of its age, including minor crushing to the corners and fraying along the edges. The internal styrofoam tray remains in good structural condition. The figure retains its original factory-applied decals and shows no significant signs of play wear or structural damage.
