Description

A comprehensive collection of approximately 46 vintage die-cast vehicles manufactured by Lesney Products & Co. Ltd. under the Matchbox Superfast brand. This assortment features a wide variety of models primarily from the late 1960s and 1970s, including passenger cars, high-performance racers, and utility vehicles. Notable models include the No. 69 Turbo Fury, No. 86 race car, a fire engine with an extending yellow ladder, a military personnel carrier with seated figures, and a white and red SRN6 hovercraft. Other specialized vehicles include a "Maxi Taxi, " "Sand Digger, " an ambulance, a police boat, and a red single-engine airplane. The vehicles are constructed with die-cast metal bodies, plastic interiors and windows, and the signature low-friction Superfast wheels. Most units retain their original factory markings on the undercarriage, including "Made in England" and "Lesney Products & Co. Ltd." The collection is presented in two black partitioned storage trays. Trays approximately 12 by 10 inches.

Condition: The collection is in played-with condition, showing varying degrees of wear consistent with age and use. Common issues include paint chipping, surface dust, and minor oxidation on some metal bases. Most vehicles appear structurally intact, though some decals show fading or partial loss. The fire engine ladder and military figures are present. Items are sold as-is.

Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Photos are considered part of the condition report. Complete condition information is available by request, please request no later than 24 hours prior to the auction. All lots are offered and sold "as is", and Willow Auctions will not provide refunds based on condition. Timepiece movements, lighting and electrics have not been tested, and art has not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated. We have our own in-house shipping program.  Please request in-house shipping, if needed.
