Pop Culture Time Capsule: TV Memorabilia & Vintage Toys
Lot 75:
Sold for: $250
Description
This lot comprises approximately 18 vintage action figures produced between 1985 and 1997 by prominent manufacturers including Toy Biz, Galoob, Hasbro, Kenner, McFarlane Toys, Avatar/Bolt, Playmates, and Mattel. The collection features a diverse array of characters from popular media franchises such as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (including Xena, She-Demon, and Mesomorph), Defenders of the Earth (Flash Gordon), C.O.P.S. ‘n’ Crooks (Nightmare), RoboCop and the Ultra Police (Anne Lewis), Last Action Hero (Jack Slater), Wetworks, Total Chaos, and Barnyard Commandos (Sergeant Woolly Pullover and Commodore Fleece Cardigan). Each figure is constructed of molded plastic and remains attached to its original printed cardboard cardback via a clear plastic blister. Manufacturing marks indicate production in China and Hong Kong. This assembly represents a significant cross-section of late 20th-century toy design and licensed property merchandising. Dimensions: 14 x 9 inches.
Condition: The figures are in their original, unopened factory packaging. The cardbacks exhibit varying degrees of age-related shelf wear, including soft corners, creasing, and residual adhesive from price tags. Some clear plastic blisters show light yellowing or ambering consistent with the age of the materials. All components appear to be present as originally issued.
Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Photos are considered part of the condition report. Complete condition information is available by request, please request no later than 24 hours prior to the auction. All lots are offered and sold "as is", and Willow Auctions will not provide refunds based on condition. Timepiece movements, lighting and electrics have not been tested, and art has not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated. We have our own in-house shipping program. Please request in-house shipping, if needed.
