Description
This lot features two vintage battery-operated plastic toy flying saucers manufactured in Taiwan. The larger model is the Space Flying Saucer, model number SH-912, produced by S.H. (Horikawa). It is constructed from white and blue plastic with multicolored internal lights, translucent red panels, and a manual fold-down ramp that reveals an alien graphic with the text GOOD LUCK. The smaller unit is a Flying Saucer, item number KL3102, produced by KL. This model features a textured white plastic exterior, gold-toned plastic fins, and a clear dome containing multicolored internal beads. Both items are accompanied by their original illustrated retail boxes. The larger Horikawa model measures approximately 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 7 inches.
Condition: The toys are in used vintage condition. The Horikawa saucer appears structurally sound, though its packaging shows significant shelf wear, including creasing and minor paper loss. The KL saucer exhibits notable surface grime and visible corrosion within the red plastic battery compartment on the underside. The KL box shows moderate wear and age-related distortion. The mechanical and electronic functions have not been tested. Both items appear to be complete with original components.
