Description
This lot features a collection of three vintage battery-operated "Sprechender Roboter" (Speaking Robot) toys, Art.-Nr. 3503. Manufactured by New Bright and distributed by Dickie Spielzeug of Nuremberg, Germany, these robots represent the electronic toy boom of the late 20th century. Each robot is constructed from black molded plastic with gold-tone accents and a red translucent visor. The chest plate features a speaker grille labeled "2002" above a red atomic symbol. These models were designed with several interactive features including "Ansto??-Wende-Automatik" (bump-and-go action), "Weltraum-Sound" (space sound), and "blinkende Augen" (blinking eyes). The robots also feature articulated heads and arms. The packaging is printed in German and includes original KB Toys clearance price stickers. These units are related to the "Sonic Sam" and "Omni" robot lines produced by New Bright during the same era. Each robot requires two 1.5V "Baby" (C-size) batteries for operation. Each box measures approximately 10 x 4.5 x 4 inches.
Condition: The robots are in new-old-stock condition and remain factory-secured within their original internal cardboard packaging. The outer window boxes are complete and retain good color, showing only minor shelf wear and light creasing consistent with age and storage. The clear plastic windows are intact. The electronic functions are untested as the items have never been removed from their packaging.
