Pop Culture Time Capsule: TV Memorabilia & Vintage Toys
Lot 91:
A diverse collection of vintage Japanese toys and motorized model kits manufactured by TOMY during the late 20th century. The centerpiece of the lot is a Zoids Gun-Galad (DPZ-23), a motorized dragon-type mecha from the Dark Army faction, known for its transformation features. Also included are two motorized walker kits from the Z-Knight (Z-K) "Real Walker" series: Nilas (Blue Star Federation) and Megahornet (Cald Army). The lot further contains a G-Zero Zero Gravity Swimming Game, a unique handheld electronic device that uses fan-powered air pressure to manipulate a balloon-mounted figure. Completing the collection are three factory-sealed Battcom "Science Special Search Party" (Katokutai) diorama base sets from the Battle Diorama Game series. All items feature original Japanese-language packaging, "ST" safety logos, and "Made in Japan" markings. Construction is primarily molded plastic with internal motorized and electronic components. No ruler or scale is present in the images.
Condition: The collection exhibits a range of conditions. The G-Zero game box shows significant distress, including a large tear and crushing at the bottom edge. The Zoids and Z-Knight model kit boxes show moderate shelf wear, corner scuffing, and some tape residue; they include vintage retail price stickers. While the kits appear unbuilt, the motorized functions have not been tested. The three Battcom diorama sets remain factory-sealed on their original blister cards, though the cards show minor curling and edge wear. All items are sold as-is, and vintage motorized components may require internal cleaning or maintenance for operation.
