Description
Collection of five vintage KISS action figures manufactured by Mego Corp. in 1977. The lot includes figures depicting Gene Simmons as The Demon and Paul Stanley as The Starchild. Each figure features synthetic rooted hair and painted facial makeup corresponding to the band members stage personas. The figures are dressed in fabric costumes consisting of black glitter-flecked jumpsuits, metallic silver-tone fabric accents, and plastic platform boots. Several figures are missing original accessories and footwear. The reverse of the torso on each figure is marked Mego 1977 made in Hong Kong. Each figure 14″ H x 3.5″ W.
Condition report:
The collection shows visible signs of age and play wear. Notable condition issues include matted and tangled hair, fraying and loose threads on the fabric jumpsuits, and peeling or loss to the silver metallic finishes. Several figures are missing original accessories and footwear; specifically, one figure is missing both boots and another is missing the left boot. Surface scuffing and minor soiling are present on the plastic bodies and painted facial features.
