Description
Group of seven vintage 8-inch scale action figures, primarily attributed to the Mego Corporation, the dominant manufacturer of the articulated “8-inch” format during the 1970s. The collection features a variety of licensed and genre characters including Batman from DC Comics with a yellow utility belt; Archie Andrews wearing his signature orange sweater with a black “R” emblem; Dracula and The Mummy from the Mad Monster Series; a character from the Planet of the Apes franchise in tan and brown attire with faux-fur accents; an astronaut in a blue flight suit with a silver-tone helmet; and a stylized vampire character in a blue and black tuxedo. Each figure 8″ H x 2″ W.
Condition report:
The figures are in varied, played-with condition consistent with age. Batman is missing his original fabric cape. Archie Andrews exhibits visible staining and heavy soiling on his light-colored trousers. The Dracula figure has one detached boot, though it is present within the lot. General wear is noted across the collection, including fraying to the edges of the cloth outfits, minor paint loss on the molded heads, and typical loosening of the internal elastic or plastic joints. The astronaut figure appears to be missing a clear helmet visor. All clothing is original but shows signs of handling and storage wear.
