Philip Stein (American, 1919-2009). Oil on board, large-scale expressionist male figure, 1938. Signed and dated Stein 38 lower right. 48″ x 36 3/4″ sight size, 50″ x 38″ with frame.


Condition report:

Visible surface texture and light scuffing. Minor areas of paint thinning and small surface losses. Wooden frame shows light wear and separation at the corners. Backing board shows water staining and age-related discoloration.
