Description
Irving Amen (American, 1918-2011). Oil on canvas, seated figure, 1964. Signed and dated lower right. 33 1/2″ x 23 1/2″ sight size, 39″ x 28″ x 1 1/2″ with frame.
Condition report:
The front surface of the painting appears stable with minor surface dirt. The reverse of the canvas shows significant and widespread foxing and brown spotting. The gilt wood frame exhibits minor rubbing at the corners, and the linen liner shows light discoloration consistent with age.
