Description
Queen Anne style Chinoiserie two plate pier mirror. Black lacquered frame with hand-painted gilt and ornamentation. 64 1/2″ H x 24 1/4″ W.
Condition report:
Fine craquelure is present across the black lacquered surfaces. There are minor losses to the gilding and painted decoration, particularly along the edges and at the joins. The mirror plates exhibit areas of foxing and silvering loss. Small cracks are visible in the lacquer at the corner joints of the frame.
