Description
Large Louis XV style giltwood and gesso oval wall mirror. Several significant chips and losses to the ornamentation. 44 1/4″ H x 33″ W.
Condition report:
There are several significant chips and losses to the composition ornamentation, particularly on the upper scrolling flourishes and side elements. A plastic bag containing several broken pieces of the frame is included. The gilding shows typical age-related wear, darkening, and surface craquelure. The mirror glass is intact.
