Description
Bohemian enameled and gilded ruby-to-clear glass decanter with stopper. Late 19th or early 20th century. Diamond and hobnail patterns. Appears unsigned. 20″ H with stopper, 11 1/2″ H without stopper. 5 1/2″ base diameter.
Condition report:
The decanter is in generally good antique condition. There is a small chip at the very tip of the pointed stopper and a shallow, shell-shaped flake or chip on the underside of the flared rim. Visible wear and rubbing to the gilding are present, most notably on the top of the stopper and along the upper rim of the decanter. The enameled decoration remains vibrant and largely intact. The glass is clear with typical light shelf wear and faint scratching to the underside of the base.
