Description
Ben Goodkin (American, 20th Century). Abstract wood sculpture carved from dark-stained wood with a smooth, polished finish. Two figures in a fluid embrace, rendered with minimalist lines. Signed and dated on the edge of the base Goodkin ’76. 24″ H x 7 1/2″ W x 6 1/2″ D.
Condition report:
The sculpture features a prominent vertical shrinkage crack on the upper section. Minor surface scuffs and natural variations in the wood grain are visible throughout the piece.
