Description
Group of eight figurative sculptures in various African tribal styles, including wood carvings and two figures made of a stone or clay-based material. Materials used for embellishment include inset eyes, metal rings, and multicolored glass beads. Several mounted on display bases. Largest figure 11 1/2″ H x 3″ W x 3″ D.
Condition report:
Visible drying cracks are present in the wood, notably on the heads and bases. One base shows a vertical split. There is overall surface wear, including minor losses to detail and pigment. Some beadwork may be loose or missing.
