Description
Pair of lithographs after 19th-century botanical illustrations by Louis van Houtte. Two varieties of white lilies, identified in the lower margins as Pancratium (Ismene) calathinum and Eucharis grandiflora. Each with gallery label on verso. 10 1/4″ x 7 1/4″ sight size, 17 1/4″ x 14 1/4″ with frames.
Condition report:
Both prints and frames are in excellent condition with only negligible surface wear to the gilt frame edges. The edges of the paper display minor simulated toning intended to mimic an antique appearance.
