Description
Late 19th century Biedermeier style chiffonier with six drawers. Constructed with fruitwood veneers, likely cherry, over secondary wood. Top drawer with two lion ring pulls, bottom drawer with decorative sunburst medallions. Middle four drawers fitted with brass keyhole surrounds. 49 1/2″ H x 29″ W x 13″ D.
Condition report:
The chest exhibits several vertical shrinkage cracks to the veneers on the drawer fronts and the top surface. There is moderate scuffing, finish loss, and localized staining to the base and side panels. Overall wear is consistent with age and use.
