Description
Six pieces of French glazed earthenware by Biot, Le Poët-Laval, and Jars Ceramistes. Includes a Biot covered pedestal bowl, a large Le Poët-Laval yellow charger, two Jars Ceramistes shallow bowls; and two small Le Poët-Laval dishes with scalloped sides. All marked on the underside. Charger 12 1/2″ diameter. Pedestal bowl 9 1/2″ H.
Condition report:
Minor shelf wear and light scuffing to the unglazed foot rings. The bowls by Jars Ceramistes exhibit fine decorative crazing, which is a characteristic feature of the glaze technique. No significant chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration are visible.
