Description
Collection of over 125 vintage Star Wars trading cards produced by Topps in 1977. The lot includes cards from all five original series identified by their distinct border colors: Series 1 (blue), Series 2 (red), Series 3 (yellow), Series 4 (green), and Series 5 (orange). A primary inclusion in the collection is Card #1, Luke Skywalker, from the blue border series. Other cards present include #28 Luke agrees to join Ben Kenobi, #82 A daring rescue, #122 The Millennium Falcon speeds through space, #136 Danger from all sides, #175 A closer look at a Jawa, #241 The Rebel fighter ships, #252 The honored heroes, and #292 The stormtroopers assemble. The collection also contains at least two stickers: #14 The Tusken Raider and #40 Darth Vader. Individual cards 3 1/2″ H x 2 1/2″ W.
Condition report:
The cards are ungraded and exhibit mixed mid-grade condition typical for the 1977 set. Common wear includes rounded corners, edge wear, and varying centering. Card #1 Luke Skywalker is housed in a protective semi-rigid holder and shows visible signs of handling, including off-center alignment favoring the right, softened corners, and minor chipping along the right edge. The surface of Card #1 displays white wear spots and scuffs on the front, particularly in the upper right quadrant, and surface abrasion on the reverse center.
