Description
W.W. Marston .32 caliber three-barrel pocket pistol, second model marked Improved 1864. Features a vertical arrangement of three steel barrels that slide forward on the frame for loading. Stamped on the right side of the frame W.W. Marston / Patented May 26, 1857 / New York City, with Improved 1864 stamped below. 4 3/4″ x 6″.
Condition report:
Brass frame exhibits a golden-brown patina with crisp engraving. Steel barrels show a mottled grey patina with light surface peppering and minor handling marks, with sharp engraving at both the breech and muzzle. Wood grips are in excellent condition with a deep luster and minimal handling wear. Screw heads show minor evidence of past tool use. Mechanical action not tested.
