Description

Mid-19th century brass and steel pocket pistol, attributed to William W. Marston. Single-action hammer, spur trigger, and sliding selector switch on the right side of the barrel. Left side of brass frame incised with serial number 730. Brass frame shows remnants of gilt finish. 3″ H x 5 1/2″ L.


Condition report:

Steel barrels exhibit a mottled gray patina with areas of surface oxidation and light pitting throughout. Brass frame shows moderate wear to its finish with scattered handling marks and surface scratches. Wooden grips remain intact with minor nicks and surface wear consistent with age. Mechanical action was not tested.
