Description

Mid-19th century French combination percussion pistol and folding knife manufactured by Maillard a Rouen. Side-mounted smoothbore barrel with a percussion hammer mechanism. Steel frame incorporates a folding spear-point blade and a folding corkscrew. Blade stamped Maillard a Rouen. 10 3/4″ L open, 3 1/2″ closed.


Condition report:

Metal surfaces show a consistent dark patina with scattered pitting and oxidation. Handle scales exhibit distinct graining and several significant age-related cracks, mostly around the securing screws. Folding mechanisms and hammer show wear consistent with age.
