Spring Curated Auction: Fine Art, Militaria, and Decorative Arts
Lot 38:
Description
Late 19th century push dagger manufactured by Will and Fink of San Francisco. Features a double-edged steel spear-point blade with a distinct central ridge. Accompanying the dagger is a metal scabbard equipped with a spring-tension belt clip on one side and a small lanyard ring at the terminal end. 7″ L, open.
Condition report:
Steel blade shows overall surface oxidation and areas of light pitting throughout, though the original profile remains intact. Hardwood handle is structurally sound with a smooth patina and minor surface indentations consistent with age. Metal scabbard is functional but exhibits significant wear to the plated finish and surface oxidation. Blade edges show age-appropriate dulling with no evidence of modern sharpening.
