Description
Louis XV style gilt-bronze mahogany vitrine on legs. The display cabinet includes an arched front door and inset glass panels on the front and both sides. The interior is lined with red velvet on the back and base and holds two glass shelves. Exterior with ormolu mounts and accents. Appears unsigned. 63 1/2″ H x 28″ W x 15 1/2″ D.
Condition report:
Significant chips and losses to the veneer are visible on the left front frame and side. Wood joinery shows separation gaps and cracking, particularly at the top rail molding and where the legs join the apron. The interior red velvet base shows visible circular staining and wear. Areas of the beaded brass trim are loose or missing small sections. General surface scratches, scuffs, and minor dings are present throughout the mahogany finish. Key is missing.
