Description
Group of three kukri knives and one utility knife. One small decorative kukri with a polished black horn handle and a matching horn or dark wood scabbard bound with brass bands and inlaid with brass fish and star motifs. It includes two small accessory blades, the karda and chakmak. One medium-sized kukri with a carved black horn handle and a scabbard covered in red velvet with ornate white metal repousse and chased mounts featuring dragon and scrollwork motifs. This item includes two horn-handled accessory knives. One large service-style kukri featuring a polished steel blade with a traditional cho notch, a carved black horn handle with brass bolster and pommel, and a black leather scabbard with an integrated belt frog. This large kukri is accompanied by a custom-fitted two-tier wooden display stand. The utility knife is a straight-bladed knife with an intricately carved reddish-brown wooden handle and matching scabbard, both decorated with stylized human figures and geometric borders. The base of the blade features incised Chinese characters on one side and is stamped Made in Taiwan Free China on the reverse. Largest kukri 16" L. Display stand 6" H x 17 1/2" W x 3 1/2" D.

Condition report:
The collection is in good used condition with signs of age-related wear. Blades show minor surface oxidation, light scratches, and general wear. The carved wooden components are well-preserved. Horn handles exhibit natural striations and light surface marks. The red velvet on the ornate scabbard shows fading and typical wear. Metal fittings display minor tarnishing. The leather scabbard for the service-style kukri remains supple with light scuffing.
