Description
Collection of 25 vintage character, advertising, and novelty wristwatches. Two Keith Haring artist watches, including a red-cased model marked GTI Special Editions from the Playboy Art Archives dated 1996 with a decorative Mona Lisa tin and a round gold-tone model dated 1989. Several Mickey Mouse models by makers such as Ingersoll, Bradley, and Elgin Quartz, with one notable early electric version and a 17-jewel manual wind example. Comic strip and cartoon character watches include Dick Tracy, Little Black Sambo, Lil Abner, Joe Palooka, Bugs Bunny, and a Harley-Davidson tachymeter model with Wile E. Coyote and Taz. Advertising iconography includes two Planters Mr. Peanut watches with jumping-hour and date window complications, a Ritz Crackers watch, and a Budweiser Mighty Malt promotional timepiece. Each watch approximately 9″ L.

Condition report:
Varying degrees of surface wear, scratches to crystals, and rubbing to case finishes throughout. Straps exhibit signs of use including stiffness and cracking consistent with age. All watches are sold as-is for parts, repair, or display and are currently untested for timekeeping accuracy or mechanical functionality.
