Description
Pair of late Victorian carved armchairs with wrap-around back rails and incised scrollwork decoration. The frames are supported by turned front legs and slightly splayed rear legs. The padded, shield-shaped seats are upholstered in a cream-colored fabric with a repeating floral medallion pattern. 30 1/2″ H x 22 1/4″ W x 17″ D. Seat height 17″ H.
Condition report:
The wood finish shows scuffing, scratches, and finish loss, particularly on the feet, stretchers, and front seat rails. The upholstery is well-maintained with no significant tears or staining visible.
