Description
Handel reverse painted table lamp. The domed shade features a textured chipped ice exterior and is decorated on the interior with a continuous landscape scene depicting a sunset behind a grove of trees. The metal shade ring is stamped HANDEL PATD NO 979664. The lower interior edge of the glass shade is signed HANDEL 6288. The shade rests on a bronze base with a fluted circular foot and a central pedestal supporting three light sockets. Each socket is operated by an individual pull chain with a bell-shaped terminal. 22″ H x 16″ shade diameter.
Condition report:
The reverse-painted glass shade is in good condition with no visible cracks, chips, or loss to the interior decoration. The metal base exhibits areas of green oxidation and surface patina, particularly around the fluted foot and sockets. The electrical cord has been replaced with a modern brown cloth-covered cord and a black plastic plug.
