Jack Silverman (American 1940-2017). Two screenprints, Navajo Germantown Saddle Blanket c. 1900 and Navajo First Phase Chief Blanket c. 1800. Navajo Germantown pencil-signed lower right and inscribed Artist Proof 10 lower left. Navajo First Phase pencil-signed lower right and numbered 82/100 lower left. Navajo Germantown 41 1/2″ x 29 1/4″ sheet size, 47 5/8″ x 35 1/2″ with frame. Navajo First Phase 29 1/2″ x 41″ sheet size, 35 5/8″ x 47 1/2″ with frame. Location: Bin 1
Condition report:
The prints and paper appear to be in good condition with vibrant colors and no apparent foxing or toning. The frames show minor surface wear and small nicks to the wood. Each frame has a deep surface scratch to the glazing that does not appear to have cracked through the glass. The scratches are located near the center of the image areas.
