The front door displays a scene of a seated couple in a landscape, with coordinating floral and scenic panels on the sides and lower apron. The piece is ornamented with cast metal foliate ormolu mounts on the corners, apron, and feet. The single door opens to an interior fitted with five fixed horizontal shelves finished in a dark mahogany tone. The reverse panel is stamped with white numbers 391. The interior contains a blue property tag from Mount Aloysius Junior College with serial number 08453. 41″ H x 30″ W x 18″ D.

Condition report:

The painted and lacquered surfaces exhibit significant craquelure throughout. There are visible paint chips and losses, particularly along the lower edges, legs, and feet. There is an area of paint loss and residue on the surface top. A section of the beaded metal trim on the rear right leg is loose and partially detached. The key for the front door is missing. General surface wear, minor scuffs, and light oxidation to the metal mounts are consistent with age and previous use.
