Description
Pair of two-light table lamps in the Victorian style. Each lamp is constructed from cast gilt-metal with scrolling foliate arms supporting candle cups decorated with dragon motifs and floral-form bobeches. The arms flank a central miniature bottle-form ceramic vase featuring a dark brown glaze with a green flambe effect. The lamps have been electrified and feature modern cords with two-prong plugs and wire-nut connections on the undersides. 11″ H x 6″ W x 5″ D. Location: 18D
Condition report:
Both lamps show significant chipping and material loss to the cream-colored candle sleeves. One lamp has a visible crack in the square plinth supporting the central ceramic vase. The gilt-metal surfaces show minor wear and oxidation consistent with age.
