Description
A pair of decorative table lamps featuring hand-painted glazed porcelain figurines in 18th-century style dress. The figures are mounted on ornate, rococo-style scrollwork bases embellished with hand-applied porcelain flowers and hand-painted floral cartouches. The porcelain components are set into pierced, octagonal brass bases. The lamps are topped with matching bell-shaped fabric shades featuring a dark iridescent blue and gold fabric with embroidered scrolling leaf patterns and long peach-colored fringe. Tested and functional. 25″ H x 16″ W x 13″ D. Location: 18E
Condition report:
Tested and functional. The electrical wiring and two-prong plugs appear vintage and show age-related discoloration and wear. There is minor patina and tarnish present on the brass bases. As is common with encrusted porcelain of this type, there are minor losses to the delicate applied flower petals. The fabric shades appear intact with typical light wear.
