Description
A Neoclassical style silver-plated hot water urn or samovar on a separate matching pedestal stand. The fluted urn body features ram’s head handles with drop rings, a domed lid with a foliate finial, and beaded borders. The urn rests on a square plinth that nests into a four-column stand supported by a stepped square base on ball feet. A spigot with a carved white bone or synthetic handle is mounted to the front. The interior is fitted with a central heating tube. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible. 28″ H x 12″ W x 13.5″ D. Location: 4B
Condition report:
Heavy iridescent tarnish and oxidation overall. Visible loss and wear to the silver plating, including a notable circular patch on the body of the urn. General surface pitting and scratches consistent with age and use. Discoloration and minor wear to the spigot handle.
